Meiki is developed by Beatriz Perotto Muniz (“the Developer”). This policy explains how the Meiki app for iPhone handles your information.
Meiki does not collect, transmit, or share any of your data. There is no account, no server, no analytics, and no third-party SDK. Everything you add to the app — product names, dates, notes, and photos — is stored only in Apple’s on-device database (SwiftData) on your iPhone.
When you add a product, Meiki saves the name, category, brand, version, purchase date, expiration date, your notes, and a photo you choose or take. This information is written to local storage on your device using SwiftData, Apple’s on-device persistence framework. It is never uploaded anywhere, because Meiki has no network code and makes no internet connections.
Meiki uses Apple’s PhotosPicker to let you choose a picture for a product. This picker runs outside the app and only shares the specific photo you select — Meiki never gets broader access to your photo library. When you pick a photo, Meiki processes it on your device (using Apple’s Vision framework) to remove the background, and saves the result locally.
Meiki does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. No data is shared with anyone, because none is collected in the first place.
Since everything lives only on your device, you are always in control:
There is no copy of your data anywhere else for the Developer to delete on your behalf, because none was ever sent out.
Meiki does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children, so no additional data-related risk applies based on age.
If Meiki ever adds a feature that changes how data is handled (for example, an optional backup or sync feature), this policy will be updated first, with a new effective date, before that feature is released.
